Happy 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary with Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four

Happy 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary with Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four

Back again, it's been a while now since I posted but I've been busy, busy, busy - I though this might happen when I started blogging but at last I've got some projects to share.

This is a new Spellbinders die, it's very pretty and this is my first card with it. It's sized to go with a C5 card sort of, but I wanted it a bit bigger. This card measures approx 19 cm square.

I've been a bit naughty here with my backing paper as the original was a peachy colour, I really loved it but I wanted it to be pink for this card, and there's not much point having a computer and printer if you can't put it to good use occasionaly so with a bit of digital manipulation I got the colour I wanted.

Products used -

Backing Card - 300gsm Centura Pearl (my favourite) from Crafters Companion
Silver Holographic (Ribbons of Light I think) bought online from Ebay
Backing Paper - Graphic 45 (Secret Garden) digitally manipulated
Dies - Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four, Floral Ovals and Fancy Tags Two
Embossing Folder - Swiss Dots
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbon and Gems from stash

  2. I love this card....especially with the holographic paper...do you have a video on how to make this card? Or instructions with pictures showing the various stages in making the card? We have a very small group that get together to make cards and we are always looking for that little :something special".....I think this could be it. I look forward to your response...thank you.

  3. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get a reply with regards to my question. Not sure if I'm brave enough to try this on my own without directions.....I guess it will just have to wait.....

    1. Hi Scottygirl, sorry I haven't blogged for ages and am just now checking through my emails. I don't have a tutorial for this as I usually just wing it as I go, but basically it's just built around the Elegant Labels 4 die. I measured the outside egde of the die and cut my backing paper approx 1.5 cm's larger than it in a square. I backed this onto some silver holographic card and then onto my base card which is approx 19cm square.
I then cut the EL4 largest die in a white pearl and holographic card, I cut the holographic card in the middle and layered it with the white pearl so that it just shows as a tiny border behind the white.
I did the same with the second die in my backing paper and holographic card.
I then layered them up and added them to the top of my prepared card.
I cut an oval in holographic using the Floral Ovals 2nd die.
I cut a tag, using the Tags 2 die set and I think I added a backing to this in my backing paper cut with one of the small the plain Labels 4 dies. I printed the sentiment before cutting it out.

    2. I then cut a little panel the same length as the EL4 die in white pearl approx 1.5 cms shorter than the space left at the bottom of the prepared card.
I embossed this using a dotty embossing folder and mounted it onto some holographic card.
I wrapped some pink and silver ribbon (10 cm wide) around this and added to the bottom of the prepared card.
I tied a bow in pink and silver and glued this with some flowers to the centre of the small panel.
I finished by added some little pink gems.

Hope this helps Scottygirl, do email again if there is anything I missed, it's good to know that people are still looking at my cards and I'm more than happy for you to use these designs. I do hope to blog again in the future.
