Engagement Card with KennyK Digis and Echo Park paper

Engagement Card with KennyK Digis - Teen Idol & Drama Queen and Echo Park paper

We are enjoying the most fantastic spell of hot weather, up to 30 degrees some days
and seeing we had a winter there, that lasted for about 2 and a half years, lol,
it's just about killing us, almost impossible to sleep, and really not good for the crafting
- like, who wants to be indoors in this heat and will the glue and tape hold
or will it melt - here's hoping it's not the latter :)

This is an unusual design for an Engagement Card but I wanted to make it quite sassy
and I thought that these two digi characters from KennyK just suited it fine.
I love the expression on her face.

I've used Aqua and Red - aqua is such a lovely summer colour and
well, always red for love, plus, it's one of my favourites.

I'm a Guest DT on the Love to Create Challenge Blog This Week - Monday 1st July 2013

and the subject of the challenge is Support or Condolences sponsored by
Bugaboo Stamps -  http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
and Beccy's Place -  http://www.beccysplace.com/

This card is using a digi image from Bugaboo Stamps.

Stamp - Beautiful blocks - Thoughts and Prayers -https://bugaboostamps.3dcartstores.com/Beautiful-blocks--Thoughts-and-Prayers_p_2341.html#
I've changed the digi stamp colour from black line to pink line as I thought
those sweet little flowers would look nice in pink and I didn't want
black lined words on my card.
I've also used the Anja Corner Die from Marianne Designs.

21st Birthday Card for Son using a KennyK's digi - Soccer

21st Birthday Card for Son using a KennyK's digi - Soccer

Another boys card, I seem to be on roll at the minute and again I'm using another terrific
wee digi stamp from KennyK downloads.com called, Soccer.

I started this time with an old card sketch from Mojo Monday, but as it was for a boy,
I left out the flower and bow and added a couple of corners and a tag and
switched things around a bit to suit my digi. These card sketches are great as a lot
of the planning is done for you, all you really need to do is choose the papers
and these come from Echo Park, I just loved the big coloured dots.
The 14 is on the football top because this is the number on his own football shirt
and I added the little "O'Neills" soccer balls as they sponsor his team.

Spellbinder die - Sprightly Sprockets

50th Birthday Card using KennyK's "Need for Speed" and Spellbinders "Sprightly Sprockets" (2)

50th Birthday Card using KennyK's "Need for Speed" and Spellbinders "Sprightly Sprockets" (2)

So this is the second card I had to make using "KennyK's Need for Speed"
digital image for the father and son rally drivers.

I've flipped the image this time so he appears to be going the other way.
I've also made my own simple backing papers for this card.

16th Birthday Card using KennyK's "Need For Speed" digi and Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets

So many boys cards being requested at the minute. I always tried to avoid these, as I find them quite hard but the people I know just keep on having sons, lol, so needs must as they say :)

This is a little card (well not so little 18cm square) that I entered into the KennyK Facebook Challenge - "Life In The Fast Lane". A Freebie image (Dirt Bike Mike) was also given, for which I am most grateful
but this rally digi "Need for Speed" suited a card I had to make better.

Actually I had two cards to make using this image, for a father 50 and son 16, both into rally driving.

This is the first one -

And I'm very pleased to say that it won the People's Choice Award
and won me $20 Gift Certificate :)

Thank you to everyone who "Liked" my card

And guess what I have again today - yes, another go with this KennyK image "Victory Kid",
I just love this little digi.

I started this time with a sketch, an oldie from Sketch Saturday-
but I needed more on my card (it's approx 18cm square) than this sketch is showing
so I added a few more embellishments, but you can see how it started.
It originally didn't have the "age medal" hanging like this as I was going to just going to glue it to the top right hand corner and then I came across a card made by Heather at Ricas Haven based on a  similar design and she had added her sentiment like this, by tying it on and I thought that looked pretty cool so I did it too.

This card is for a Rangers football supporter, hence the colours
but I think it ended up more like a USA stars and stripes card.

Happy Birthday Dad - Great Outdoors Card

Happy Birthday Dad - Great Outdoors Card

Did I ever blog this card - I don't think so - as I only started blogging in March this year I've got loads and loads of cards I've yet to add.

This was a strange request - Firstly because it was for a man and I didn't use to make many of those and Secondly - it also had to have a Caravan, Plants/Gardening, a Dog and be Outside.

Soooo, I started with this Mo Manning image "Gardener Guy"
I couldn't find a Stamp/Digi of a Caravan at the time, so I made this one using a combination of rectangles and ovals in my graphics program - I think it works ok.
Although it doesn't show up in this photo, it's a frame type card, with the center part being below the frame.
